The continuation of the refurbishment of Puerto del Carmen is evident with a new project which will enhance the areas near Los Pocillos between Calle Noruega and Avenida de Italia at the cost of 1.5 million euros by the council of Tías.
The project which has already been proposed contemplates the elimination of barriers as well as a cycling lane between Los Pocillos and the vicinity of Playa Grande covering 750 meters.
In addition there will be more green areas added to the beach road of Puerto del Carmen without taking away any of the much needed existing parking spaces.
The works are likely to coincide with other improvements to this popular resort already announced. The understanding is that the work should be completed within a five month period.
